Hand Dance Lessons (DC Style)
Youth Development with Hand Dance Workshops and Adult Hand Dance Classes at Thurgood Marshall Center for Service and Heritage, 1816 12th Street, N.W., Washington, DC. Youth Classes begin at 11:00 am - 12:30 pm and Adult Classes begin 12:45 - 1:45 pm. SUMMER WORKSHOPS TBA Next Session Begins September 8, 2012. - YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE!
Thurgood Marshall Center Trust Inc. in partnership with If Not for Grace offers a Youth Program, through dance (health and fitness), to instill cooperation, teamwork, and etiquette (emotional and mental health) to our youth. Our goal is to train students how to touch partner dance in recreational and social dance settings using an holistic approach. In addition to the Youth Program, we offer Adult Hand Dance Classes.
Members of INFG also teach basic Hand Dance Classes at area Dance Studios, Recreation and Community Centers

Registration for Youth Program: Fundamentals of Development $100.00 per child. Parent/Guardian must sign waiver WE ARE OFFERING FULL AND PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR YOUTH THIS SESSION!! Registration for adult classes $100.00 per individual. In September 2005, If Not for Grace Dance Program established a Family and Youth Oriented Program: Fundamentals of Development with Hand Dance Workshops. It was held at Studio C, 221 Adams Place, NE, Washington, DC 20018 and donated for use by the program by Mr. Willie Blakeney. Thurgood Marshall Center Trust, Inc in partnership with If Not For Grace Dance Program has reached out to extend this program to this community. In addition to the Youth Program, Adult and Youth Hand Dance Classes, we teach classic dances of note to the D. C. Community.
